Voting on no-confidence, National Assembly session adjourned till 12:30 p.m.



The Speaker has adjourned the sitting of the National Assembly till 12:30 pm. The session chaired by Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser started with the recitation of Holy Quran.

Members of National Assembly have already taken their seats. There are 51 members of the government in the National Assembly session but Prime Minister Imran Khan has not reached the hall yet. I will take action. Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed their views to the National Assembly.

Yesterday, a six-point agenda of the meeting to be convened on Saturday for voting on the no-confidence motion was released in the National Assembly. According to the six-point agenda, the meeting started with recitation of Holy Quran, then after recitation of Hadith and Naat, national anthem was played.

After this separate questions will be added after which Faheem Khan will raise the issue of non-payment of salaries to the councilors in the cantonment board on the notice. The fourth item on the agenda is voting on the no-confidence motion. Disagreement Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif had requested for a vote by presenting the following resolution on March 28, 2022. According to the resolution, “This House of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan under Article 95 (1) of the Constitution by this resolution. He said that he has no confidence in Prime Minister Imran Khan and as a result he should resign under Article (4).

In addition to the point of order, issues under Rule 18 will be taken up while the rising prices of petroleum products will be discussed in the Attention Notice.
