A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial will hear the presidential reference on April 12. Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan, Justice Mazhar Alam, Justice Muneeb Akhtar and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel will be part of the five-member larger bench.

The court has issued notices to other parties including the Attorney General. A presidential reference was filed in the Supreme Court for disqualification of deviant members.

Similarly, the petition of the Supreme Court Bar to stop the procession before the no-confidence motion has also been fixed for hearing. The hearing on the petition of the Supreme Court Bar will also be held with a presidential reference. On the other hand, the PTI has submitted a reference against 20 deviant members to the Speaker, while a reference against 20 deviant members has been submitted under Article 63A. The text of the reference said that the members have left PTI and joined the opposition. Show cause was also issued to the deviant members.
