April 06, 2022) Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly Sardar Dost Mohammad Mazari said that I will work according to the law, the meeting of the Assembly will be necessary this evening, the Assembly Secretariat is taking unconstitutional steps in gazette notification. Confusion is being spread by the Speaker's Office.

Dost Mohammad Mazari said that new gazette notification is necessary for convening the meeting as Punjab Assembly session cannot be held till gazette notification but assembly officers are not cooperating regarding new gazette notification and Assembly Secretariat is taking unconstitutional steps in notification which The powers that be are in front of everyone.

The Deputy Speaker further said that Pervez Elahi is the candidate himself. I have the powers of the Speaker and I will act in accordance with the law but an attempt is being made to put pressure on the staff of my office. Everyone will suffer.

It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a no-confidence motion against its own Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari. Submitted to the office. After which the PML-Q spokesperson said that after the no-confidence motion was filed, Dost Muhammad Mazari was not authorized to convene the meeting while the gazette notification of the Punjab Assembly was not issued, therefore the meeting could not be held today, Deputy Speaker said.
