PTI filed a reference with the Speaker against 20 deviant members

 


The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a reference against 20 deviant members with the Speaker under reference Article 63A. According to Geo News, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has submitted a reference to the Speaker against the deviant members.

The text of the reference said that the members have left PTI and joined the opposition. Show cause was also issued to the deviant members. The deviant members did not respond to the show cause notices.

On the other hand, according to Geo News, a heated exchange took place between the Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser and a Federal Minister in the Presidential Chamber in the Parliament. Take the line, because you are the speaker of their party.

To which Speaker Asad Qaiser replied that I stand with the Constitution of Pakistan and take the line of the Constitution, I joined the PTI to protect the Constitution of Pakistan. PTI Secretary General Asad Umar has filed a petition seeking review of the April 2022 decision. The petition seeks withdrawal of the April 7 order of a five-member bench.

The text of the petition states that the Supreme Court cannot give a timetable to the National Assembly under Article 69. No confidence or election of the Prime Minister is written in detail in the 1973 Constitution. Yes, the Supreme Court does not have the power to micro-manage the decisions of Parliament. The court is asked to withdraw the April 7 order of the five-member bench.
