PTI decides to file review petition in Supreme Court
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to file a review petition in the Supreme Court (SC). According to media reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan has completed consultation with legal experts. Article 69 is part of the constitution, the Supreme Court can not take the power of the Assembly, the decision is suspended and the National Assembly should be allowed to function in accordance with the rules.
Yesterday, Federal Law Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the Supreme Court itself convened the meeting, the Supreme Court made a surprising decision, the Supreme Court said that deviant members can vote, the case of deviant members was not with the Supreme Court. The supremacy of Parliament is no more, the Supreme Court should reconsider its decision.
It may be recalled that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had heard the decision of the self-notice case on the rolling of the Deputy Speaker. Prime Minister Imran Khan could not advise the President.
Later, the Supreme Court issued an eight-page written order annulling the rolling of the Deputy Speaker, stating that the rolling of the Deputy Speaker on April 3 was declared unconstitutional and against the law. No status of Rolling, Rolling of Deputy Speaker is declared null and void, current case is disposed of on these issues, dissolution of National Assembly is also unconstitutional, no-confidence motion is still pending After the no-confidence motion, the National Assembly session will not be adjourned till the election of the new Prime Minister. If the no-confidence motion is successful, the Prime Minister will be elected in the same National Assembly session. Will be subject to the decision of the Supreme Court.
