Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif began official engagements

 


Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has started his official engagements. According to details, Shahbaz Sharif was presented a guard of honor on his arrival at the Prime Minister's House. He was greeted by a well-armed contingent of the Armed Forces. An introduction was also made, after which he formally assumed the responsibilities as the 23rd Prime Minister.

It may be recalled that the newly elected Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was sworn in as the Prime Minister on Monday night. Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and members of allied parties and Vice President PML-N Maryam Nawaz were also present on the occasion. General Qamar Javed Bajwa did not appear at the ceremony.

Asked by ARY News anchor Wasim Badami in this regard, former prime minister and senior league leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi confirmed that Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa attended the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. No, but other senior Pakistan Army officers were present at the ceremony. Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif was elected as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan by 174 votes as the candidate of United Opposition, after which the Secretary National Assembly had issued notification of Shahbaz Sharif as the Prime Minister. It was stated in the statement that President Dr. Arif Alvi is ill and doctors have advised him to rest for a few days.
