PM orders probe into delay in completion of Islamabad Airport Metro Bus project


 

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered an inquiry into the delay in completion of the Islamabad Airport Metro Bus project, saying that it was the nation's money. And I will not let sleep. The project of public interest should be completed soon. According to details, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the Peshawar turn to New Islamabad Airport Metro project to inspect it, during which PML-N leaders Ahsan Iqbal, Maryam Aurangzeb and Muftah Ismail also accompanied him.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reviewed the project which has been delayed for four years. CDA Chairman Amir Ahmed Ali briefed the Prime Minister about the project, stating that initially Islamabad Metro 15 buses are being provided for.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed anger over the delay in the project and said that the project of public interest should not have been delayed. There is no justification for the delay. What is hard to enable? He directed that in order to find out the reasons for the delay in the project, the delay in the Metro project should be investigated and a committee should be formed.

The Prime Minister said that about Rs. 16 billion has been spent on the project so far. Let the people know that early completion of the project is necessary. There should be a station of Islamabad Metro on the motorway. Well, this is the money of the nation, take care of the people, I will not sleep myself and I will not let them sleep.
