The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared the PICA Ordinance 2022 null and void. Safe verdict announced. Earlier, the Islamabad High Court had sought a report from the FIA ​​in petitions filed by the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists and PBA against the PICA Ordinance. At the hearing, where Additional Attorney General Qasim Wadud said that he wanted to give arguments on the PICA Amendment Ordinance, the Chief Justice said that the government itself has made a statement to stop the implementation of the ordinance. In response, Additional Attorney General He said that there are 94,000 cases and 22,000 cases have been decided. The FIA ​​is not there to protect the reputation of public office holders.

The Additional Attorney General said that out of 22,000 cases, only four or five cases are before this court. Chief Justice Atharmanullah said that a public office holder had lodged a complaint in Islamabad at 9 am. After registering and conducting raids in Islamabad at the same time, can this court allow such a move? The basic rights of the people you learn cannot be violated.

The Additional Attorney General said that there are courts for protection of fundamental rights. The Chief Justice remarked that this is why the FIA ​​submitted SOPs and committed fraud in the court. Additional Attorney General Qasim Wadud took the position that social media is very dangerous. Is a tool On this, the Chief Justice said that why blame social media? A gun is for self-defense but it is dangerous to give it to a monkey. Can any justification be given for breaking the constitution or law? Intolerance in society does not mean that laws should be enacted which can be misused. The cases before this court have been proven to be abuses of FIA powers. Who is to blame? FIA powers were misused against journalists.
