Imran Khan is no longer the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Division issued a notification

Imran Khan is no longer the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Division has issued a notification in this regard. According to the notification, after the dissolution of the National Assembly by the President under Article 58 (1) of the Constitution, Imran Khan Niazi is no longer the Prime Minister. On the suggestion of the Prime Minister, the President dissolved the National Assembly.

It may be recalled that a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan was to be voted on today but the Deputy Speaker National Assembly rejected the motion declaring it unconstitutional. He said that the nation should prepare for elections.

After Imran Khan's speech, President Arif Alvi dissolved the National Assembly but the opposition declared the whole process unconstitutional and called a sit-in inside the assembly.

The Supreme Court has also taken suo motu notice of the proceedings of the National Assembly, which had a preliminary hearing today. A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Umar Ata Bandial restrained state officials from taking any unconstitutional action. The Supreme Court has decided to form a larger bench on the political situation on its own notice. Tomorrow's hearing will be conducted by a five-member larger bench. The newly formed large bench will hear the suo motu notice tomorrow at one o'clock. The hearing on the reference to the interpretation of Article 63A has been postponed.
