Meanwhile, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has filed a reference against its 24 dissident members in the Punjab Assembly in the Speaker's Office. The Speaker Punjab Assembly will decide to send the reference to the Election Commission in due course. Not implemented, these deviant members belong to Jahangir Tareen, Aleem Khan and Asad Khokhar group.

Citing sources, it has been said that in the reference against the deviant members, press conferences and their video statements have also been attached with Hamza Shahbaz. They have already announced to vote for the party, to which party secretary general Asad Umar had earlier issued a letter and issued a show cause notice on April 4 seeking their response.
