Deviant members of PTI will not participate in voting today
Dissident members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will not participate in today's voting. Has not received any clear instructions from the party leadership in this regard. Deviant members say that they have not received any instruction regarding today's session of National Assembly. Most of the deviant members have gone to their constituencies where They are spending the day of Ramadan.
On the other hand, the PTI did not take part in the no-confidence motion and provided safe passage to the deviant members of the Assembly, after which the reference against 20 deviant members is now likely to be ineffective.
According to media reports, a reference was filed by PTI against the 20 deviant members of the National Assembly who came to light after the no-confidence motion was filed by the opposition against Imran Khan. The reference under 63A was handed over to Speaker Asad Qaiser, but now that reference is likely to be ineffective.
Last night, PTI did not participate in the vote of no-confidence motion against Imran Khan in the National Assembly and provided a safe passage to 20 deviant members. According to former Deputy Attorney General Raja Khalid Khan, Article 63A of the Constitution cannot be applied to 20 deviant members. No, the defection clause applies to voting against party policy which was not committed by deviant members.
It may be recalled that after the opposition's no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan in the National Assembly won with 174 votes, he became the first Prime Minister of the country against whom the no-confidence motion was successful.
