Appointment of caretaker Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has rejected the name of Justice R Gulzar Ahmed
Shahbaz Sharif has responded to a letter from the President regarding the appointment of caretaker Prime Minister in the country. According to details, PML-N President and Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif in his reply letter to the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi rejected the name of Justice (retd) Gulzar Ahmed for the caretaker Prime Minister.
He said that the letter of the President was received on April 5 at 9 pm but the matter is still in the court so there is no authority to initiate proceedings therefore it is illegal for Imran Khan to name Justice Gulzar as Speaker The appointment of caretaker Prime Minister on this occasion is unconstitutional and unworkable while every step of the President and Prime Minister will be subject to the decision of the Supreme Court.
Yesterday, the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi had written another letter to Shahbaz Sharif for consultation regarding the appointment of caretaker Prime Minister, in which it was stated by the President that Prime Minister Imran Khan had nominated Justice (retd) Gulzar Ahmed for the caretaker Prime Minister. Suggested, agree with the nomination of Gulzar Ahmed or suggest another name, if no response is received by April 6, the caretaker Prime Minister will be appointed in accordance with the Constitution.
It may be mentioned that the President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi had written a letter to the Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif to form a caretaker government in the country, in response to which Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed was nominated for the caretaker Prime Minister while the Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif refused to be part of the consultation for the caretaker Prime Minister.
In this regard, Shahbaz Sharif said that the caretaker Prime Minister will not be part of the consultation because the President has committed a violation of the Constitution, our eyes are on the Supreme Court, yesterday the President violated the Constitution did not consult him. Can go Reacting to this, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry said that if Shahbaz Sharif does not want to be a part of the consultation for the appointment of caretaker Prime Minister, then do not become one. The names have been sent. If the former opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif does not give his name for the caretaker Prime Minister in 7 days, then there is a procedure. The people are ready for new elections, they will not allow anyone to run away from the elections.
