Government decides to close NCOC


 

The government has decided to close the National Command Operations Center. According to media reports, the government of Pakistan is going to deactivate the NCOC by the end of this month. From April, the Corona situation in the country will be monitored by the National Institute of Health Islamabad.

The CDC was formed after reforms in the National Institutes of Health and is not fully operational. According to sources, the process of transfer of records from NCOC to CDC is underway. National Command Operations Center was set up in March 2020. Polio EOC had played an important role in providing data to NCOC. The NCOC is also responsible for developing the National Vaccination Strategy. Federal Minister Asad Omar heads the National and Command Operations Center. NDOC is responsible for implementing the decisions of the National Corona Coordinating Committee.
