ISLAMABAD: Inflation in the country has come down to 18.47 per cent, this week it has come down to 0.8 per cent, for the lowest income earners it has gone up to more than 20 per cent. According to the weekly report on inflation by the Bureau of Statistics, inflation in the country has risen again. Inflation for individuals has reached a level of more than 20%.


According to the report of the Bureau of Statistics, prices of 16 commodities have increased this week, prices of 14 commodities have declined in recent weeks and prices of 21 commodities have remained stable. Garlic went up by an average of Rs 23.29 per kg, after which the average price rose to Rs 354.62 per kg.


Live chicken rose by an average of Rs 11.49 per kg to Rs 214.88 per kg and mustard oil by Rs 3.84 per kg. Similarly, 2.5 kg of Dalda ghee has become more expensive at Rs. 8, 74 paise, firewood at Rs. 6, 27 paise per man, banana, Rs. 3, 6 paise per dozen, laundry soap, mutton and beef have also become more expensive. Similarly, in the recent week, the price of tomato has been reduced by Rs. 22-24 per kg, onion by Rs. Rs 32 has become cheaper. Similarly, prices of 21 items including dry milk, curd, bread and fresh milk remained stable.
