Trade Adviser to Prime Minister Imran Khan Abdul Razzaq Dawood termed trade with India as a matter of urgency. Speaking to media during an exhibition on engineering and healthcare organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Trade, Textiles, Industry and Production and Investment, said that with India Trade is an important need of the hour and is beneficial to both countries.
He said that Russia wanted to invest in construction sector in Pakistan and lay the pipeline. "As far as the Ministry of Commerce is concerned, it is ready to trade with India and my position is that we should trade with India and open the trade blockade now," he said.
Trade with India is very beneficial for all, especially for Pakistan and I support it.
Talking about exports to Afghanistan, the trade adviser said that his ministry had increased the number of goods exported to Afghanistan in Pakistani rupees to 17. The trade adviser also claimed during the conversation that various traders are still contacting me to include their products and commodities in the list of goods exported to Afghanistan. The traders want their goods to be exported to Afghanistan as well. Export in Pakistani Rupees.
He further said that Russia wants to work in Pakistan in the fields of pipeline laying, construction etc. Our major export destinations are Europe, North America especially America and China, we need to expand our product types. "I think our engineering and healthcare-related products could be added to the list of exports, he said.
