According to media reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan has received a summary of increase in prices of petroleum products by OGRA, in which it was recommended to increase petrol by Rs12.3 paisa and diesel by Rs9.53 paisa per liter. However, on the directive of the Prime Minister, the summary has been sent back to the Ministry of Finance.
It may be recalled that the Finance Ministry has proposed to the Prime Minister to increase the price of petrol by Rs 12 per liter and diesel by Rs 9.53 per liter.
