Security forces operation in North Waziristan on information of presence of terrorists


 

Security forces have launched an operation in Spin Wam district of North Waziristan. According to Pakistan Army Public Relations ISPR the operation was carried out on the information of presence of terrorists. A terrorist was killed in the exchange of fire. A large quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorist. ISPR further said that the terrorist was involved in operations against the security forces. Full cooperation was expressed to end the scourge of terrorism.

Earlier, security forces in North Waziristan conducted an operation against terrorists on a tip-off. During the operation, the forces killed six terrorists in an exchange of fire. A large number of arms, ammunition, equipment and sub-machine guns were recovered during the operation. ۔

The slain terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces and targeted killings. The terrorists were also involved in kidnappings for ransom. The slain terrorists include Muhammad Ali, Matiullah, Muhammad Omar, Akhtar Hussain, Sher and Wasim.

Similarly, last week, security forces conducted an operation against terrorists in Tehsil Kalachi of Dera Ismail Khan District DI Khan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. During the operation by the security forces, the terrorists started firing. Two terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire.

The victims were identified as Fazal Rehman alias Khairy. Large quantities of weapons have also been recovered from the terrorists. Earlier, according to information released by Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), security forces conducted an operation against terrorists in Hoshop area of ​​Balochistan. During the operation, security forces killed 10 terrorists in an exchange of fire. Among those killed was a key terrorist commander, Master Asif alias Mukesh.

The terrorists killed in the security forces operation were involved in the recent terrorist incidents in Turbat and Pasni. A large number of weapons and ammunition have been recovered from the terrorists' hideouts. These weapons were to be used against the forces in terrorist attacks. Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar said that operations would continue to eliminate terrorists and facilitators and would not allow anyone to sabotage the process of peace, stability and development in Balochistan.
