Saudi Arabia offers direct talks with Iran
Saudi Arabia has expressed its desire for talks with Iran. Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has said that he wants to start a new round of talks with Iran. According to a foreign news agency, Saudi Arabia has offered to hold direct talks with Iran. In this regard, the Saudi Foreign Minister said that Saudi Arabia wants to schedule a fifth round of talks with Iran, however. Iran will also have to show serious desire to solve the existing fundamental problems and we hope that serious efforts will be made to find new ways.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia agreed to issue visas to three Iranian diplomats. The diplomats will work at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah. Saudi Arabia's move has improved relations between the two countries. Significant progress was made in the effort.
According to Al Arabiya News, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahian said that Saudi Arabia has agreed to issue visas to three Iranian diplomats. Saudi Arabia has given its approval a week ago. The diplomats will work at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah.
"I thank Iraq for its efforts to facilitate dialogue with Saudi Arabia. The next round of talks between Saudi Arabia and Iran will be held soon in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. We, Iran and Saudi Arabia, Arab embassies are ready to exchange committees, pave the way for reopening of embassies and restore relations between the two countries.
