PSL 7, Multan Sultans defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 57 runs Muhammad Rizwan and Tim David's half centuries, Imran Tahir and Dahani took three wickets each.

 



Karachi in the 13th match of Pakistan Super League 7 Multan Sultans defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 57 runs. Zalmai's captain Wahab Riaz won the toss and invited Multan Sultans to bat first at the National Stadium in Karachi. Multan Sultan openers Shaun Masood and captain Mohammad Rizwan gave the team a great start. Shaun Masood played an innings of 35 runs off 25 balls with the help of 5 fours and when the team's score reached 85 runs, Shoaib got out on the ball of Malik. Captain Muhammad Rizwan completed half a century. Sohaib Maqsood supported the captain till the score of 127 and played 27 runs with the help of a four and sixes and was bowled by Usman Qadir. Mohammad Rizwan faced 53 balls and played an innings of 82 runs with the help of 8 fours and a six. Tim David hit six sixes off Zalmai's bowlers, scoring 51 off 19 balls. Khushdal Shah played an innings of 21 runs off 7 balls with the help of 3 sixes. Multan Sultans scored 222 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Peshawar Zalmi did not get off to a good start in pursuit of the 223-run target as Kamran Akmal was dismissed for a total of 24 and returned to the pavilion. Later, Haider Ali (55) and Shoaib Malik (84) fell victim to Imran Tahir. Zalmai's two consecutive wickets fell to 93 runs after which the team's grip on the match weakened. The total score had just reached 100 when Zalmai's sixth wicket also fell. Ben Cutting scored a half century but Peshawar managed to score 165 runs in the allotted overs. It should be noted that Multan has been an unbeaten team in Sultans League while Peshawar Zalmi has won two out of four matches. Talking after the toss, Wahab Riaz said that a change has been made in the team of Peshawar Zalmi and Saqib Mahmood has been included in the team in place of Hussain Talat while three changes have been made in the team of Multan. Peshawar Zalmai's team includes captain Wahab Riaz, Kamran Akmal, Hazratullah Zazai, Haider Ali, Shoaib Malik, Rutherford, Ben Cutting, Saqib Mahmood, Muhammad Omar, Usman Qadir and Salman Irshad. The Multan Sultans include captain Mohammad Rizwan, Shaun Masood, Sohaib Maqsood, Johnson Charles, Tim David, Khushdal Shah, Anwar Ali, Abbas Afridi, Imran Tahir, Mozarbani and Shah Nawaz Dahani.
