PSL 7, Lahore Qalandars set a target of 182 runs for the victory over Islamabad United


 

In the match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League PSL , Lahore Qalandars have given a target of 182 runs to Multan Sultans. Sultans have won the toss and elected to bat in the second round match of Pakistan Super League 2022 being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Lahore Qalandars did not get off to a good start as Abdullah Shafiq returned to the pavilion with LBW on Anwar Ali's ball for a total score of 5, then Kamran Ghulam and Fakhr Zaman faced the Sultans bowlers confidently and batted responsibly. Kamran Ghulam scored 42 runs and was caught by Abbas Afridi.

After that Fakhr Zaman played 2 innings of 60 runs off 37 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 5 fours and was caught by Shah Nawaz Dhani in the chase of Imran Tahir's ball. Hafeez scored 43 off 29 balls with the help of three sixes and a four. Qalandars scored 182 for four in the allotted overs, Phil Salt scored 26 off 13 balls.


Anwar Ali, Shahnawaz Dhani, Abbas Afridi and Imran Tahir took one wicket each for Sultans. For the match, both teams did not make any changes in their previous matches. In Pakistan Super League, Multan Sultans team is leading by winning all its six matches and has qualified for the playoffs. On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars have won three out of five matches while they have failed in two.

Multan Sultans team for the match consists of Muhammad Rizwan captain, Shaun Masood, Sohaib Maqsood, Riley Russo, Khushdal Shah, Tim David, Anwar Ali, Abbas Afridi, Imran Tahir, Blessing Mazarbani, Shahnawaz Dhani while Lahore Qalandars. The team includes Shaheen Shah Afridi (captain), Fakhr Zaman, Abdullah Shafiq, Kamran Ghulam, Muhammad Hafeez, Phil Salt, Harry Brooks, David Visayas, Rashid Khan, Haris Rauf, Zaman Khan.
