 Karachi  in the match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League PSL Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by 42 runs. In the 14th match of the league being played at the National Stadium in Karachi, Islamabad United won the toss and invited Karachi Kings to bowl. Alex Hales and Paul Sterling started the innings for Islamabad and formed a partnership of 66 runs. Meanwhile, Sterling was dismissed for 30 off 21 balls with the help of 5 fours. Clean bowled on an individual score of 75.

Shadab Khan scored 34 off 19 balls and also added 55 runs with Colin Monroe but Babar Azam's excellent catch ended the innings of the captain of Islamabad United.

Asif Ali could not play well and Babar took another incredible catch and made him walk. Colin Monroe became Chris Jordan's second wicket after scoring just 33 off 33 balls.


Azam Khan was dismissed on the last ball of the innings and Islamabad United scored 177 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated overs. In pursuit of the target of 178 runs, Karachi Kings did not have a good start at all and on a total score of only 6 runs, aggressive batsman Sharjeel Khan was run out for 6 runs, after which captain Babar Azam also failed to score big and 8 After scoring runs, they returned to the pavilion.

Karachi had to bear the third loss in the form of EN Kokbin, he left the team with only 2 runs while Sahibzada Farhan scored 25 runs. Gregory  15  and Emad Wasim  9  were also dismissed. Chasing the target of 178 runs, Karachi Kings scored 135 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Muhammad Nabi remained prominent by scoring 47 runs. Changes have been made in the Karachi Kings squad for the match and Chris Jordan as well as Usman Shinwari have been included in the final XI.

Islamabad United have not made any changes in their squad.
