Pakistan Telecommunication Authority warns users of dual SIM usage
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTA has warned consumers using two SIMs on a mobile phone. According to the details, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTA has issued instructions to all mobile phone users having more than one SIM / IMEI slot to register if their mobile has one IMEI slot. Yes, but the second slot is not registered. They should also get their second slot registered before 31st August 2019.
While registering such mobile devices, the mobile user screenshot of all programmed IMEIs, screenshot of the mobile device box on which all the IMEIs are clear, copy of National Identity Card of the mobile user and contact with the applicant. All such applications will be reviewed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority PTA and only certified cases will be registered.
It should be noted that no such SIM slots will be registered after August 30, 2019. Mobile users have been given a clear message to dial * # 06 # to know the IMEI status of their mobile device and send a 15 digit SMS to IMEI number 8484.
