Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Akram Durrani denied the news of Maulana Fazlur Rehman's meeting with Jahangir Tareen. No contact has been made, the PDM committee will contact him. However, earlier it was reported that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had a secret meeting with Jahangir Tareen.

PDM spokesman Hafiz Hamdullah also denied the meeting between the two leaders. He said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman does not believe in drawing room and offshore politics. He said that PDM would soon form a dialogue jirga in which all the opposition parties would be represented.

Earlier, an ARY News report claimed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Pakistan Democratic Movement  PDM  had also met Jahangir Tareen, head of the PTI group, which had reservations after the government's allies. The meeting took place two days ago at an unknown location on the occasion of Maulana Fazlur Rehman's visit to Lahore which lasted for about half an hour.

Sources said that the meeting was arranged by mutual friends of both the sides. Maulana Fazlur Rehman Chaudhry went to meet Jahangir Tareen after meeting the brothers. According to sources, Maulana Fazlur Rehman sought the cooperation of Jahangir Tareen and his friends on the current situation and future issues. The PDM spokesperson has strongly denied the secret meeting between Jahangir Tareen and Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
