India's militancy undermines regional stability: PM


 

Prime Minister Imran Khan called on Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two leaders reviewed Pak-China relations.


Announcing the meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to the statement, the two leaders reviewed all aspects of Pak-China bilateral cooperation.


The two leaders discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest. The Prime Minister congratulated the Chinese leadership and people on the successful hosting of the Olympic Winter Games.


According to the statement, the Prime Minister wished the Chinese Lunar New Year. Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pak-China Strategic Partnership has stood the test of time.


Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the two countries stood side by side in bringing peace, stability and development to fruition. The Prime Minister briefed President Xi Jinping on the government's policies for sustainable development and regional connectivity.


The Prime Minister appreciated China's continued support and assistance for Pakistan's socio-economic development. He said that Pakistan has benefited a lot from the high quality development of C-Pack.


The Prime Minister also shared with the Chinese President his views on the growing polarization in the world. The Prime Minister has said that increasing polarization in the world poses serious threats to global development and developing countries.


Climate change, epidemics of health and growing inequality are insurmountable challenges, he said. Challenges can only be tackled with the cooperation of all nations in accordance with the UN Charter.


The Prime Minister highlighted the atrocities perpetrated in India's illegally occupied Kashmir. He said that Hindutva mentality of RSS, oppression of minorities in India is a threat to regional peace and stability. Rapid militancy in India is undermining regional stability.


It is to be noted that Prime Minister Imran Khan has met the Chinese President during his visit to China. This was the first meeting between the two leaders since the Prime Minister's visit to China in October 2019.
