Government decides to increase salaries of government employees

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to increase the salaries of government employees from March 1. According to details, the federal government has announced huge relief for government employees affected by inflation. According to a report by private TV channel ARY News, the PTI government has announced a 15% increase in the salaries of government employees of federal agencies.

Under the federal government's decision, the basic pay of government employees in grades 1 to 19 will be increased by 15%. In this regard, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, it has been recommended to increase the disparity allowance of government employees to 15%.

According to the Ministry of Finance, in addition to increasing the salaries of the employees of the federal government agencies, the provincial governments have also been recommended to provide allowances to the employees from their own funds. It should be noted here that after the presentation of the budget for the current financial year by the federal government, the salaries of government employees were also increased on the spot. The federal government had announced a 10% increase in the budget for the current financial year for government employees and pensioners. This is the second increase in the salaries of government employees during the current financial year.
