Inflation in the country has risen to 16.49 per cent due to increase in prices of 20 items. Prices remain stable. The Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) has released weekly inflation data, which shows that the overall inflation rate in the country has risen to 16.49 per cent from 0.52 per cent in the previous week. Prices of 20 essential commodities have been recorded in recent weeks, including bananas at Rs 4.63 per dozen, tea, rice, lentils, lentils, broiler chickens at Rs 24.45 per kg and onions at Rs 3.80 per kg.
