Demonstration in front of the Indian Embassy in the United States


 Washington: Protests were held in front of the Indian Embassy in the United States in support of Kashmiris.


According to a foreign news agency, the participants gathered in front of the Indian Embassy in Washington DC on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day and expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people and drew the world's attention to the dire situation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.


The protesters demanded that the United Nations fulfill its promise to help resolve this long-running dispute. Participants held banners and placards reading "Freedom of All: Freedom of Kashmir", "We demand human rights", "Wake up, wake up, wake up the United Nations", "Get the Indian Army out of Kashmir". And the slogans were "India: Free Kashmir".


On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Chairman, World Forum for Peace and Justice, Washington, appreciated the widespread support for Kashmiris' right to self-determination.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai said that India claims to be the largest democracy in the world but its actions in Kashmir are the opposite.


He said that instead of correcting its human rights record, India had legalized its terrorism in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.


Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai said that the black laws enacted by the Indian government in occupied Jammu and Kashmir have created a situation which is encouraging Indian forces to commit human rights violations.
