Canberra: Australian cricket team head coach Justin Langer has resigned from his post before the tour of Pakistan.
Cricket Australia has confirmed the resignation of head coach Justin Langer, saying that Justin Langer's resignation was received today and has been accepted. He was offered a short-term extension, but did not accept the offer.
Cricket Australia has appointed Andrew McDonald as interim head coach of the Australian cricket team in place of Justice Langer following his resignation.

It may be recalled that the tour of Pakistan was approved at the Cricket Australia Executive Board meeting yesterday and the agreement of Justin Langer was also discussed at the same meeting.
The Australian cricket team will arrive in Pakistan at the end of this month after 24 years. The two teams will play three Tests, three ODIs and a T20I match.
